On Friday my work was part of a wonderful exhibition with a group of talented artists to raise funds for WWF in the fight for conservation in Borneo. The exhibition, Jungle Heart, was held at Southside Tea Room and all of the artists included work that was based on the theme of the cause. I sold all of my paintings on the night and donated 50% of the proceeds! The exhibition was put together by the wonderful Camille Nathania and decorated with beautiful paper flowers and vines by Lena Lime. I normally work with mixed media and scan in my ink & water colour textures and manipulate them digitally, so it was a bit of a challenge to create some raw originals for the event. I played around with some variations of water colour and ink layers with some different versions of the clouded leopard and an orangutan.
